David Joseph KC
David Joseph KC is a practising barrister specialising in international arbitration and commercial law and now author of Burgenland, a major new book recounting the fate of a community of about 600 Jews in a quiet rural backwater of Austria. Amongst them were his own family who through the strange vicissitudes of history witnessed the firing of the starting gun of the Holocaust and the world’s wholly inadequate reaction. Burgenland is his first book outside of law.
