David Joseph studied law at the University of Cambridge. He is a practising KC specialising in commercial law and international arbitration. He sits on the board of a leading organisation tackling anti-Semitism in the United Kingdom. He is a also a Visiting Professor at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and has been involved for many years in an organisation promoting the resolution of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians through the adoption of a two states solution. The research for Burgenland took him across the world. Over a period of nearly seven years, uncovering a substantial amount of primary source material including letters, diaries and archived documents which had not been previously examined and some of which had been sealed for a hundred years by order of the Lord Chancellor. He lives in London with his wife and the sons.
